First thing I would like to pay my gratitude to the Almighty who provided me every thing and got through all ups and downs of my life. Now at age 91 I will get together my love ones to embrace them and tell them not to cry when I leave for good, instead celebrate my departure cheerfully.

Wow, sir. I am humbled that at 91, you've chosen to dedicate a valuable chunk of your time to reading and responding to my newsletter. Absolutely Dilawar grandpa (can I call you grandpa?), gratitude is underrated.

We get so caught up in the negatives that we forget the God-given positives. May God bless you and hope you live for not years but decades more to come!

Thanks Neeramitra Reddy for your kind words. You may call me Grandpa (I am now Great grand pa in the family). I love reading inspiring articles, my second hobby is exercise, walk and race. Recently I won 5 Gold and 1 Silver Medal in USA Masters Games and Maryland Seniors Games.

I too would work out but without hurrying through it because "I have so much to accomplish today" then I would walk my dog and enjoy the walk as much as he does; I would go to breakfast (I never take time for it) with a dear friend, then go home and spend the rest of the day just talking and eating with my sons and my husband. A day of no purpose. Sounds wonderful.

No, a day of SOO MUCHHH purpose. It sounds amazing honestly, cherishing every second

play with the cats, visit my trees, watch the birds & squirrels in my yard, do some painting w/out having to cover the paints when finished (!), call my best friend (1000+ miles north) to tell him what's happening, so he'll call neighbor in the morning to deal with the leftovers here, drink some good scotch or wine, watch a DVD movie read myself to sleep, cats beside me. However, some more mysterious possibilities are coming up, better idea(s) which also wouldn't scare but would care for the cats . . . hmmmm . . . Oh, yeah, and cancel credit cards so online auto-ship junk wouldn't keep coming!!!! Yikes!

That sounds amazing, your cats seem like a huge part of your life. Haha, "without having to cover the paints when finished", isn't that a total mood?

It's interesting that you're thinking of spending your last day totally in solitude (excluding the cats of course).

one has to have the option of not being in human solitude to not be in human solitude, y'know? If I had a few days to plan my last day I'd probably drive to the Boston area, where there are the nearest people I'd care to be with, that 1,000+ miles away where my best friend lives. But you only gave me one day, so . . . no chance to get to a swimming pool, either, unless the mysterious option possibility were to go into effect - can I pick the season for this death day?!! Could also add in getting every cent of cash from the banks and handing it to an animal shelter . . . And did you say I'd won a huge lottery the day before? Ah, the variables!

Neeramitra supposedly gave one day. Death don't inform its coming, it can happen instantly giving no time to react. This is kind of our last wish before we leave this planet.

Yea, let's say you knew a lot of days in advance, then you wouldn't have a last day, it would be last DAYS.

Yes, that first line is absolutely true. Haha, yes far too many variables.
